La Palma

La Palma

on foot

La Palma has a pier that can accommodate up to three cruise ships, although usually only one ship is present. The pier also features a cruise terminal where several car rental companies have offices. The town begins right at the port exit and is easily accessible on foot. At the Plaza de la Constitución, there is a tourist information office located in a glass pavilion, right next to a taxi stand. Just a few meters further, you can turn right into the pedestrian zone of Santa Cruz.

shuttlebusses

Despite being close to the city, shuttle buses are used at the mole to transport cruise passengers to the parking lot near McDonald's.

car rental

At the cruise terminal, you will find the offices of the car rental companies. Here, you can either rent a car directly or pick up a reserved vehicle. However, I always recommend making a reservation in advance.

taxy

In front of the harbor, there are taxis available for exploring the island. Taxi La Palma offers various tours for up to 8 people, and you can inquire about prices on their website. Nestor Acosta-Hernandez offers tours with his taxi on his website, La Palma Tours.

public transport

La Palma also has a well-developed bus network, although the bus company's website is unfortunately very confusing and only available in Spanish. You can find all the schedules on a website run by a German couple.
